I am looking for a battery operated preamp. Can anyone help me by

I seriously don't think you will be able to beat this offering. Check it out. Built like a brick outhouse and great specs to match.

How about this!

:)

I use the MixPre for both remote and studio work. It came highly recommended (by mike maker David Josephson) as an excellent clean two-channel mike preamp in that price range, and oh, by the way, happens to be a battery-powered two channel field mixer, to boot.

Cheers,

Otto

Can some electronics person explain how this unit can generate +48V of phantom power from 2x1.5V AA batteries? Just curious.
