Hey everyone,

I am just curious what you guys do your basslines on. Such as software sequencer, mpc, etc...I am having a horrible time with mine, most likely since im using acid...so I am wondering what to graduate to to help me witht his area. Thanks!

I haven't used ACID a whole lot but one trick I found was to keep it simple and drop a sub note on the kicks or maybe just a certain kick here and there... Then i'd go into the note properties and just pitch up or down according to the changes in the track.

Sub notes are easy to find on the net and really any bass note or sub kick would do. Also I do shit like grab a sub bass note and a sub kick and just run a note or two then drop the sub kick... All this over a thinner snapper kick... Feel me?

For anything more complicated you'll just have to find or make a loop. Soundforge helps... My loops suck 8 times out of 10 when I try to make em so I prefer the single shot method.

not much to basslines, I sample one, chop it, filter it if needed and throw it on top. listen to any hiphop, it's simple enuff to understand how they work, more so than anything else.

what exactly is so horrible?

yo soundboy...

how much can I do with the demo's of these? as compared to the full versions.

These synths are exactly what i've been lookin for lately.
