bassballs or big muff pi?

I can't offer anything valuable about the Bassballs, but I've used a Big Muff for awhile. While I enjoy it for rythm, it doesn't do much for lead. And if you set it wrong, well then it sounds like a dying mama-whale.
 
2 totally different stompboxes. This is like asking which one is better, a chorus or a phaser.

Bassballs is a bass guitar effect that has a dynamic envelope filter and a touch of distortion. The Muff is a guitar effect that's primarily a distortion box. Totally different animules.
 
well i want a guitar and bass effect so itll kinda sound like the bass from Death From Above 1979.
i have about 200 dollarsish and i was thinking about getting one of those distortions and a mini q tron... unlessssss anyone else has any suggestions about what crazy synth pedal to get, and or what sweet distortion to get.
