Do you think that EVERY AKG mic rated at 145dB will actually hold up at 145dB SPL? Inquiring minds want to know!!! :D And will it sound GOOD micing something at 145dB SPL?

..and personally, I think AKG may very well have stress-tested their capsules for 145 - I seriously doubt it could take it for very long - and hell, the ears would give out long before the mic does at that level!!!! For a brief second before the ears go, you wouldn't be able to tell if it's the capsule distorting, or simply your ears!
