hello everyone, i really don't enjoy recording bass through a DI box (sansamp) and was wondering what your thoughts would be for a good recording cab.
I know as a guitarist a lower wattage valve amp the better for recording a nice warm slightly overdriven guitar sound.

I really am wanting a very organic thick sounding amp that can also produce a biting tone. The closest band that comes to mind is joy division.

I own a fender precision usa, i thought mabye a trace elliot amp??

Any comments are welcomed especially helpful ones, they're the best kind.

I'm not looking to spend a bomb around £300

I use a Trace Elliott with 4X10" celestion speakers. I think it's a great sounding amp.
But for recording I mostly use a Bass Pod. It's easier than micing an amp up. Especially if you want an to record an idea quickly.
