Bass Amp Tubes

Yeah, what are some that sound very good. Versatility doesn't interest me so much as a beautiful warm low-end, almost synth-sounding. Pretty transparant, but still every note can be made out through the band with out covering anything up. Good balance is a must. My G-string should share just as much prominince as my low B. I have an SWR "Mo-Bass" amp. I was slightly dissapointed and would like to know a kick ass tube to throw in there to get it to sound better. Cost is not a factor.

What kind of tube?

I would guess a 12AX7. That's what most modern instrument preamps use.

There's so many to choose from. Everthing from new Russian ones for under $10 to NOS Telefunkens and Mullards for $100's each.

That should keep you busy for a while.
