So I want to set up a wireless mic for a flute. I'm considering running a Countryman Isomax 2 to a Shure wireless system. I'd like the entire band's mix to come back to me somewhere down the line through a Shure In-Ear personal monitoring system.
My question is:
Do I need a preamp or direct box for the flute's signal through the Countryman Isomax somewhere at the beginning of this whole route? If so, where do insert the preamp or direct box? Would it go before the transmitter? Or after the receiver?
I'll appreciate any tips or guidance.
