Hi
I'm working on a project, learning PT and I'm banging my head against the wall on what seems like very basic problems. I've tried researching in the manual and elsewhere but cannot seem to find the answers.
I"m running PT LE8 on an Imac pentium 2.8 Ghz running OS 10.6.8. I'm running Reason 6 in slave mode for drums if that's an issue.
The first problem has to do with playback starting always at the beginning of the project. The articles I've read say to turn off "Timeline Insertion/Play Start Marker Follows Playback", but checking or unchecking this has no effect.
Also this article claims I need to link edit and timeline selections, but this likewise seems to make no difference.
Another related problem is when I make a selection, and choose loop play, it *still* starts at the beginning though it does loop when it gets to the selection.
I'd really appreciate any help anyone can give!
