Hey guys, I am doing a presentation in class tommorow of the guidelines on a basic digital home recording setup. I know how to explain, but I have a feeling the listeners will not properly be able to create a mental picture of what I am trying to explain. So I have seen layouts online before, but I have been unsucessful trying to find one. So if anyone has or knows of a visual diagram of pretty much a digital home recording setupt (I.E. microphone>preamp>mixer>PC) or anything close, could you please post it? Thanks a lot.

I would look at mixer manufacturer web sites. Alot of em have online manuals with multiple diagrams that show various connectivety. The seem to be in PDF format so make sure you have acrobat reader installed. Should be able to copy the images out of those and use em in your presentation. Yamaha's got a nice color one that would probably print good....

Hopefully, something like this will meet your expectations. This graphical guide illustrates the use of a Mackie VLZ Pro mixer.
