Hey, long time 'lurker', first time poster.
Going to start construction, any thoughts
on this control room layout?

What are the dimensions?
What are the angles?
Where are the doors?
How are your speakers set? Nearfield or soffit mounted?
What is the ceiling height?
Are you proposing any acoustic treatments?
If so, what kind and where?

These are all basic questions we'd need to be able to comment on your plan.

Sorry for vagueness. added dimensions.

As far as treatment. thinking some absorbtion
on side walls to tame down reflections. Some
diffusion above console/desk area on ceiling,
some diffusors/resonators/bass trap on back wall
some absorb on front wall to stop flutter...

OK.
I'll take a look at it.
Are there other rooms for recording adjacent to this one?
Any other doors?
Windows?
Is this new construction, or are you modifying an existing room?

Oh yeah, go back and delete your multiple posts in this thread. ;)

I was really only looking for an opinion on the shape, and I don't think it's going to work. Looks like i need to splay the walls out towards the back of the room, not in...

OK.
Typical control room geometry would dictate walls splayed AWAY from the mix position. 12 degrees seems to be the optimum angle.

Once you pass the mix position, you can bring the walls back inward.
