bASELINES?

How can I do baselines easily?
I mean the type of baselines that hold a rhythem, extending and changing up with the beat.
Sampleing basslines is near impossible I find, and when i do find some they never sound right or they sound out of place etc. What can I get to mend this problem? hardware/software, anything??? Thanks!

If I understand you correctly, you mean something like a sine wave or sustained wave, check the EMU MO PHATT for nice bass sounds for making bass lines
