Alright. I've got an 800 MHz Pentium 3 in front of me. I also have a 1.4GHz Pentium 4 at my dispense. My band wants to set up a studio down here in my basement. I want a set up where we can play the song live, and have each instrument go to its own track in Cool Edit Pro 2. Is this possible? We'd need mics for vox and guitar, our drummer is getting his own mics, and we'll probably run bass direct. I'm looking to spend no more than $1000 on soundcard, mixer, monitors, whatever I need. I have a Soundblaster Live! value card right now, which isnt suitable. Any suggestions are welcome...thanks.

would the Delta 1010-LT work? And if so, how does all the stuff connect so I can get everything on its own track? Would I need a mixer in front of it or what? I also need to know about monitors...I realize they are quite necessary for mixing, but what do I need?

would this setup be decent for recording....

behringer Eurorack UB2442FX-Pro Mixer
M-Audio Delta 1010LT Card
Edirol MA-10DBK Monitors
Two Shure SM57's for Guitar and Backup Vox
Shure SM58 For Lead Vocals

Note: the shure mics will also be used for performances, so i dont want any high quality studio stuff. If you have any other recommendations...let me know...thanks.
