If you haven't seen Band-in-a-Box lately, you're in for a real treat. They recently introduced RealTracks and RealDrums, which are backing tracks played by real musicians. This finally does away with cheesy-sounding MIDI files forever (well, they were cheesy unless you had terrific equipment, anyway). The newest version uses WMA compression so you're only using a small fraction of the disk space as before. And they have some kind of cool deal going now that expires in about six weeks, so check out PG Music's website for the details if you're interested.
