Hi, I just got my new Mackie 1202 VLZ-PRO YEAH! Anyways, I'm going to run out and buy all the necessary connections that I need tomorrow.
Now I was going to originally get a few 1/4" mono (TS) connectors with a converter to a stereo 1/8" connector.
But in my manual here it says that balanced adapters (TRS) have a better noise killing quality to them.
Will balanced adapters work better for my application? I want the best I can get here... here's my setup:
Mackie Main Out to Soundblaster Line-In via two 1/8" connectors to a stereo 1/8" converter.
Mackie control room out to speaker amp via two 1/8" connectors to two rca connectors.

Well, I suspect balanced lines might help if you could use them, but you can't. Balanced lines must be balanced all the way through to the other piece of equipment or they won't do diddly, so unless you have a sound card with balanced I/O you are out of luck.
