I need to buy a couple of XLR to 1/4" transformers and looking for advice for one that has good quality. I read an article in the April 2001 Recording mag about a DIY unbalanced-to-balanced project. The transformer the author originally used ended up having a low-end rolloff. The author updated the article with a different transformer model that had very little low-end rolloff.
I am not interested in a DIY project so does anyone have a recommendation for a good quality unit I can buy so I don't worry about low-end rolloff? Thanks much.
