I have a patch bay that is balanced. All of my gear is unbalanced. Can I use this patchbay or should I send it back? (I thought I had ordered an unbalanced bay)
TIA

Yeah, you can use it; it will work just fine. Have you tried it? Since this is home recording, I'm assuming it's the solderless type. Although, I use 3 front TT and rear solder type bays.

If it's the rear solder type, just make sure you solder the cable where the jacks will make contact with the cable.

Well, you'll just be prepared for when you do buy pieces of gear which are balance; it's bound to happen. Balanced and unbalanced gear can be used together you know.

No I havn't tried it... didn't want to mess anything up. I didn't think it would hurt it I just wanted to make sure. RE you rock... always got an answer for someone.

It's an APaudio Patchbay... yeah it's solderless. Has anyone heard of a APaudio? I havn't... but oh well. I'm new to the recording aspect so... I'll learn.

Yeah, I know of APaudio. Their patchbays remind me of "Re'an"'s patchbays; I had one of those years ago which I never used, but the looks sure did impress me. I hope you enjoy your new tool. The only thing you'll miss with having a patchbay are all those bruises on the back of your head. Oh well.
