Dude, that is heavy!!! I love it. Nice tones. Listening to the beginning, I was wondering when it would kick. I like that it is full of low end. Very deep. Vocals seem a little quiet...in the mix. 2:56...killer outro. Nice tune. Very heavy, yet dynamic. Listening again. How did you get that guitar tone? I really like it.

Its a mesa triple rec miced with a royer 421 and a sm57.

From there i compressed then expanded it...no eq.

Sweet...Man, I gotta get me a real amp someday....

Really liked the lo-fi intro. Maybe a touch less guitar? I know im a guitarist lol, it just seems like they are burying the drums just a little bit. The vocals sound a little low possibly, might iron out if you drop the guitars a touch. Otherwise it sounds pretty good.

nice. Sounds rather pro quality to me, sounds like something id own on cd. Real even, love the bass tone with the guitar solo. great recording. Any info on the band?

take care

That just was i needing to hear (ironicly enough from a guitar player) to make improvements.

Thanks.

Excellent Chris...

the bass is awesome... what's the chain?

sorry to see you lost a toe... :D

WOW.

really nice outro.
that guitar part 2:10 is that double tracked?

FUCK YEAH!!!!!

I dig the hell outta this!!!!!

Sounds excellent!

The bass drops out when the geetar solo comes in (could be the lack of lows on my PC speakers)!

Other than that.... \m/ You get the horns baby!

Hey - sounds awesome! :D

Where'd you get the idea to do the solo like that?

I do agree with wireneck, I'd bring the guits down just a hair, and bring the vox and snare up just a bit.....

Chain is.

Four string Cravin custom bass with EMG's>>>>
Old tube screamer with a little drive>>>>
Ampeg B2R solid state bass head>>>>
4x10 SWR cab (on a stand)
Close proxcimity miced (directly on the grill) with a 57 and a 421.
To a Trident s20, to the soundcard.

The sound you hear in the beginning is mostly the 421 compressed lightly at 12:1 by an 1176 software.

The 57 got effected by a plug called Antares Tube.
I brought that in during the chorus, the solo, and outro. Othwise it wasnt used. That had no compression on it.

Neither had been eqd, except at the tracking level where I hi-passed both mic's to 90 hz (that low rumbly shit screws with my kick drum tone,,,better to cut it out).
