Isn't the way the neck and body resonate together a big part of a guitar tone?
Cause that's what I always thought and if that's true then even with a price of 600$ that guitar is most likely gonna sound like shit

Sort of, at least on acoustics. On all guitars it is a crucial structural component which is more to the point. I'd see it as more of a gimmick than a serious player. When I travelled I took a long a parlour size guitar that was probably no more awkward than that thing but I'd lay money that it was as loud if not loder and sounded sweeter.
