Hello , I just finished building a "cigarbox" style lap steel guitar. Red Oak from Lowes , mohogany Starret caliper box and cheap hardware from "Temu" . (actually pretty nice). Had a spare soundhole pickup and mounted it with velcro. I'll try and get a photo done later. This is my first attempt at playing and recording it. DADGAD tuning and I'm pretty slow at playing it. I reinforced it with my cello and bass guitar. Thanx for the listen and any suggestions.

Sounds super cool. Like something from the Justified soundtrack. Cello at 2:10 a little weird but overall it's badass.

Thanks @Deylight , I addressed that section.
The link now reflects a remix with vocals. Vox is more of a hard left chant than a storyline .
"It's gettin a little embarrison callin' me American."

I really like the feel of this Mark!

The whole track sounds very organic except for your toms which sound very "clicky" but that's just me. If you like it that way that's also fine.

Very well done!

Love that guitar sound on the left. Love the grit in it. The clean guitar on the right is nice too.

The vocal level seems to jump a couple dbs at about 1:20.

Drums are OK. I might pull the kick back a couple of dbs.

I might pull down the low end of the bass just a bit.

Overall, it's real nice.

@rob aylestone , Thanks Rob , I appreciate the listen and comment.
@PJH , Thanks for the listen and comment/suggestion. I really hadn't noticed that but , the low Tom was Very clicky. I notched it out , centered it a little and turned it down. It helped a "little". When it was just an instrumental .. I kept wondering what You would do with a lead guitar playing a melody and driving it. I tried , but it sounded pretty bad. I think I could use the lap steel behind a guitar track , but not the other way around. Guitar kept sounding out of tune.
@TripleM , Thanx. The left/right tracks were both the lap steel with the same settings except for the tremolo on the left one. I guess the right one sounded a lot cleaner playing different strings and where I was playing it on the neck. I've pulled some lowes out of it and sent it to a friend for a different master. I'll look at that section at 1:20 when it comes back. Appreciate that. ms

If the tambourine was quieter, it might be even more effective for being subtle.

Really like this one. Also, I like s tune automatically segues into 'Lazy River'. 😎 Like it more each time it hits the eardrums.

@mowtontand punch I om2 , Thank You ! Actually the link now reflects a new master by a friend in Norway. (Gary Brun) He seemed to bring out the low end and punch that I missed. @TripleM , Yes the hot spot you mentioned , along with another I automated down. Thanks for that.
@dobro , Appreciate that. I think the song does flow nicely into Lazy River but .. everytime I hear it now , I think the piano isn't bright enough. I'll probably go back in and see what I can do with it when I get bored in between songs.
I think I'm calling "Bad Blood" done .. ms
