Hi Guys. I'm installing dual operating systems on a new machine, each on it's own partition. Do the two systems share a common boot sector, and where is it located - on C drive?
I installed OS #1 on C: and then made a partion to image copy with ghost. I then installed OS # 2 on D: and made a partition to image copy of that one as well.
As a test I restored partition #1. That worked but I lost the ability to boot to D: As if there was no reference to it in the Boot record. Would it work if I installed both operating systems again and THEN made copies of each partition? Could I then restore C: and not lose D:?
I suppose it would work if I just imaged the whole drive, but where's the challenge in that?
