quantize those f*ckers, bro!
So much for my attempt at 'humanising' them :D I did have them quite rigidly quantised initially, but I was thinking it made it sound a little stiff. Guess I was wrong as you can't argue with the consensus :)

Well, if you insist having a humanized sound...

I (almost) always play the most basic drum part first (boom-bap), then switch to halftime to play the 'dead' notes (it's much easier halftime), quantize it (or not, I'm slowly starting to be a really tight mididrummer), then I usually recuce the velocity of those dead notes with another 70% to make them really 'dead', then I go back to the initial tempo and after that it sounds pretty fine already. Just a little tweaking on some of the fills and I'm a happy puppy....

And btw, you can argue with the general consensus. If you like it, it's OK :D Why listen to us? Can we really tell you whether you should plan your guitar to left or to the right? I don't think so... ;)

LMAO :D

Very nice sounds for the most part. The negatives have been covered pretty well already, but other than that, great job!

Twist

Hey Jag,
....I finally got it. I tried the 192 link and it timed out at about a minute and a half, but the 128 made it all the way. (btw: thanks for that:) )
Very nice cover here. Your vocs are great ....GREAT! I guess comments have already been made on how accurate the guitar tone is during the r. parts..... Very very nice.... big kudos to your british buddy for that.
Its a shame the drums had to be so bad by comparison when the middle solo section kicks in. It sounds like a quantizer on crack:D
Big thumbs up for the collab, and an undisputable 5 for a great vocal job. *****
Very nice man!

Axe – Thanks man….you an tell who the old timers are around here :D

B.Sabbath – Thanks! LMAO at the “Don’t Spill The Reefer” :D

Pedullist – Thanks for the listen. Glad you liked it & thanks for the technical midi help :D

Charva – Thanks for listening, and your welcome :D

twist – Thanks for stopping by. Would you like fries with that :D:D

Guernica – Thanks for taking all the trouble. Definitely going above and beyond with borked dl after dl. Glad you liked it after all that trouble. Remind me to never get on your bad side. You’ll just keep coming and coming and coming after me. :D Thanks again man.

Took me three tries before I could get this download fully. By the time I finally got to hear it, all my comments had already been used by others. :D

Nice job by both of you guys. Quite a surprise on the vocals, Jag.

Should I mention the drums?? :D

Mike

Thanks Mike. Hehe...yeah, it's not the kind of stuff I usually do now. But you know, I wasn't always an old man singing Hee Haw music ;) :D.

It was a lot of fun to do. This project and some others ;) give me a chance to use my voice in a way I don't ususally.

Thanks for taking all the trouble to listen. There have been several people complaining that they had a hard time dowloading from my web space. May have to find another place to post covers  :)

Jag,

Sweet!
If 1 more person tells you how good you sound on this tune your head will probably bust, so hold your hands over your ears and press hard..............................................great vocals and feel, man!......................................................still here?
Seems the Brits collaborate well in other areas other than foreign policy!!!!!!!!!Nice job Diplo!

peace,
Ralph Funaro (flat-9)

(Guernica........funny......... "a quantizer on crack")
