I mean, who really listens anymore?

Without Radio

I think this may be the album opener ...

All/any comments warmly appreciated.

Best,

Wow, the Stone Roses meets Queen meets Dave Gilmour meets... other stuff! :P

Sounds very good all around Kev, the one thing that didn't sit quite right with me was that the verse vox sounded a bit bottom-heavy, especially when juxtaposed against the other vocal sections. Other than that, go with it I'd say.

Cheers

Like it. Only thing I'd consider changing it the busy honkytonk piano...laying it out during the verses...block chords on 'one; or an arpeggiated figure...remaining in the same upper resister to counter the bottom-heaviness.

A quirk award winner!

The piany drives a lot of the rhythm here, Jeff ... but I'll do some quick experimentation w/ your idea and see if the juju drops out a little too much.

Thanks!

The vocal is delivered "breathy", Matt ... which means I'm moving a lot of air around the mic ... which could result in VERY low wind freq ... so I'll check into your note. Thanks for the point!

I like it :)!

Mix sounds great on a laptop for what it's worth. Love the background vocals throughout. Kind of reminds me of solo Ringo stuff from the late '70's but with some slightly more modern flavors thrown in. Sounds pretty radio friendly. Reminds me of a bunch of different stuff, but still original.

A very fine production indeed :).

Thanks P! Ironically ... although it's dismissive of radio, it'll probably be the most "accessible" pop song on the next release ... which is mostly going to consist of more "progressive" material.

Thanks for the input!
