LOL... haha.. very funny. It better be good dammit! ;)

This is tight .The "baby" needs to be a little louder. The dude's vocals sound a little boxy. I see you're really stepping out onto some new ground.

The Smooth As remix is extra sexy too. Gineral got biz on the track.

Good stuff.

Thanks for checkin em out.
Thd dude's vocals sound boxy? is that a good thing or what?

This is the best song you have had on here. Cant lie this joint aint my style but finally a great recording on vocals now that I know what you really sound like you got a good future. The dude vocals are not mixed well though. the stack isnt tucked well enough when you do a stack you supposed do your voice the same way or it wont work. They need some work other than that you got a radio hit right here. The baby part need to be turned up it's an important part of the delivery and it's low.

^I agree with the previous post
^
^.............Up there somewhere!

The "Baby" should stand out more, perhaps with a different effect too because it is the most catchy part of the cut. Other than that, I see it as a nice club banger/ Jeep banger.............

Keep Banging!

you might think this is a weird question but what you mean by stack???
That Baby part is part of the beat so too bad for me I can't really do anything with it. I didn't make that beat. That dude who I worked with got it offa somewhere I think.

Well stack is a term I like to use meaning that the vocals are stacked on top of each other. It's a technigue to make the voice sound thicker or to give it a double sound which is popular in hiphop. Anyway there are many ways to do it but for hiphop you have to make your voice sound the same to get a good stack when you record. You record once then when you record the stack you do it exactly the same way. I usually pan the stack a slight bit to the right or left mostly to the right. and then I turn it down a bit so you can hear it but its not even with the main vocal. Some folks like to stack there vocals 2 or three times. just to get a certain sound. What I was saying about this track the guys vocals on the stacked part to make his voice sound double is too loud and has a chorus sound instead of the stack sound that is popular. It sounds like he did it in a different voice. I will probably listen again to be a little clearer on what he exactly did but all I know from memory it made the vocals sound strange when he came in. Yours are good dont know if you got a new mic or what but definitely like your vocals.

^^ok I told the dude about this but he said his mic is not the best. But I think his vocals here on this song Baby sound better than on his other songs he has on his soundclick page like the quality is better.
As for me, I been using the same mic, I just stayed away farther from it so there wouldn't be too much bass in my voice when I record. I'm glad you think my voice sounds better now. :)

yeah i agree the baby part should be brought up a bit....maybe bring up that kick and clap a tad bit more.

There has got to be some type of software out there dedicated specifically for that purpose. I guess the only other alternative is to find the beatmaker and have him bring it up in the mix.............
Again, I'm feeling it though!

Sometimes it depends on the sample though. For example if you're using the drums or bass line from a sample which includes a vocal sample, you cant always make it louder without making the volume of any other part of the sample too loud.. filtering can sometimes work though.

Oh lawd, I'm gonna have to search for this mysterious beatmaker so he can fix the volume and stuff. Ya'll wish me luck.

Nah, it ain't that serious Chica..............
It is still good work the way it is. Your goal should be accomplished, so just move on to your next project knowing that you can only get better......
Keep it banging!
