Hi,

Among many threads it seems that Behringer B2030 monitors look to be a good choice in his price category.

On a web store B2030P is priced to 129$Us.

How much would cost a second hand amp ?

First question, are the B2030A and B2030P speakers equal in quality?

If yes, is it possible to find a good used amp under 150$ ?

If yes, would it be a total waste to match those units ?

If no, any suggestions for amps ?

Thanks,

SergeD

Do some more research. Behringer monitors vary widely from the actives to the passives. Don't buy anything until you can listen to a few favorite CD's through them...

And right this next week-end. a music store rent studio monitors. I'll bring some cd's and listen to Yorkville YSM1P, the new YSM2P, the B2030P and the Yamaha MSP5. And there I'll rent the selected one for a month before any move.

I think it's better forget passive monitors.

I would say you are right. Active monitors are already provided with an appropriate power source and on balance cost less than if you bouhght a separate amp.
