B&W Monitors?

anybody heard of these? i guy is trying to sell me a used pair for around $200, but i've never heard of B&W monitors.

Bowers and Wilkins is an english comany famous for extraordinary hifi speakers and studio monitors.

look also for their Matrix 800 series

Ive never heard of them actually making studio monitors...but Alan Parsons uses them to preview mixes for clients...which is ill advised on his NS10s

Same here....

Incidently, Abbey Road uses them in their facilities -- but I'm pretty sure not as primary monitors.

Get the wharfedales 8.1's, cheaper and just as good.

huh?? what does price have to do with it? what does "just as good" mean as related to speakers??? They don't all sound the same, ya know!
