a spoonfull weighs a ton
Anyone have any comments on the Shure Beta 52. My roomate just got one (along with 2 57's and a TASCAM 424MKIII- the bastard- I should charge him for all the stuff I've learned him In the last week!)

I helped engineer his first recoding he's done. And I thought the mic had a nice punch and some pretty sweet low end (but what do I know- I've been struggling to get good kick sounds with a 57 :D)

I have a beta 52 I've been using on my kick. I'm not nuts about it but I am still trying to obtain "THE" kick sound I've been looking for.I experiment with position. Are you using it for kick or bass gtr. I'm getting a sennheiser 421 in a week in the mail. I'll post my opion comparing the two. Jim
