ok im looking at axis double pedals and i see many models. im interested in the xl(longboard) and the x. my question is what is the advantage of the xl's longer footboards versus the x's shorter ones? can someone explain? i dont know witch one to get.
i play on my toes when i do fast double kick and i play death metal music so i need speed and power. something tells me to go with the xl. i heard someone say that the xl is only for people with big feet and ther is no difference in how the pedals play.
is that true?

Well, how far up on the pedal do you play?

I use the Axis A longboards, but use the heel-toe (aka "Ballistick" bassdrum technique.

If you play with your feet at the rear of the pedals with a heel up technique, then the extra lenght of the pedal will give you a little more leverage, but the gain may not be important to you.

Realistically, these pedals were designed for guys who play heel-toe technique, and have bigger feet.

i play with my toes at the top of the pedal. its to hard to play(for me) blast beats at the bottom of the board. im just wondering if the longer board is faster and harder. a 2inch length increase is quite a bit. my feet are a size 10 1/2. i guess its like anything else, it will be different for each player.
