awkward acoustic pop - two songs

Sounds good to me.

What sort of guitar is it? How did you record it? Is the guitar panned off fractionally left to right? Or is it placed on the L and R at slightly different spots on the pan area?

It's a weird ending coz the song seems all serious and dour and then at the end there is laughing etc. I'm just guessing that you left that in on purpose, and that it's not just random stuff for a slapped together recording.

I liked it, mainly I would like to know what guitar you used, what mic, and what recording set up.

thanks

very nice and professional songs. These are definitly catchy althought I don't seem to like the back vocals. But thats just my oppinion. (It would be better with backs vocals that don't ressemble to the lead vocals)

Thanks guys. I've heard similar criticism about the backing vocals -- part of why I posted these here is to hopefully get some advice as to how to record harmonies better in the future.

The guitar is a cheap no-name brand that I paid $95 for about five years ago. I've been playing in bands for a long time so I've put all my money towards electric guitar equipemnt. It was recorded with an SM57 through a mixer into Logic Express. I close mic'd it near the 17th fret. The guitar tracks are doubled and panned hard left and right. As far as the ending.. I've always thought the whole song was kind of playful and almost twee, even, so I figured the outro was fitting. Perhaps you're right, though.
