Yo Jimmy-Jaimy-Jam:

With the 4416 you can record 8 tracks at once and when you mix you can left/right to your heart's content--when you mix to the stereo track to do your CD--Voila--You'll be in stereo. Not to mention all the other stuff you can add on with EQ/reverb/compression/etc.

You SIAB has it all. Read the manual--MANY TIMES.
