Avalon 747 vs 2044

I have and Avalon 747 and it is a great compressor which even has a useful EQ and side-chain. Clean sound, no noise.
What more could I say.
One word of caution. Be sure to put plenty of space around it because the tubes will heat up quite a bit. I have a 747 and a 737 and keep them away from any of the digital units due to heat.
