Autotune EFX VOCODER question

I heard that a vocoder requires a carrier signal from a midi keyboard.

In Autotune EFX I dont see an option to select a carrier sigbal for the vocoder effect. So where is it getting the carrier signal from?

I'm not familiar with Autotune EFX, however, auto tuner VSTs do not necessarily need a mid carrier signal. They can be set to autotune to a particular key, or provide you options for manual adjusting the pitch of a vocal.
