Auralex RC8

Has anyone ever used the Auralex RC8. I am in the process of planning my studio and getting costs of items to start the budget. I found RC8 at the auralex website. I didn't know if it is as good as RC1 or if it is better or cheaper, or what? The cost for the auralex RC8 is:

RC8 Resilient Channel (24) 2" x 8", 1/2" depth 192 linear ft. 25 ga. steel $139.99


Is this a good price? Can someone give me an idea of what the same amount of RC1 would cost?

I picked up 60 pieces of RC1 for $112 including 7% sales tax. Each piece is 12' long and provides a 1/4" gap between drywall and the studs.

Thanks! Where did you get the RC1. I am having trouble finding anyplace that carries it around me. Thanks!
 
Check out industrial construction supply houses. You should probably be able to find a material supplier who specializes in drywall--they will most likely carry it. The stuff is pretty common. The best price I found was about $1.20 a 12-ft stick. Check around.
