i'm looking for a 16 channel+ board with enough aux/bus's to toy with for live sound and recording, and built in effects/talkback is a big plus, anyone have any thoughts on this board? anyone who thinks i should just skip it outright before i waste my money?
note- i have a digimax 96k and a voicemaster pro for 9 of the mic pre's, the rest will be running through the board.
i looked at the A&H mixwizard, but i think subgroups/talkback might be beneficial-
and as for microphone kits for live sound or project recording, i was looking at the audix dp elite and the fusion 7 series, and i'm just not sure how the 2 sets compare quality/price ratio wise. the price difference would make me think that what i'm paying for with the elite should make it sound awesome in comparison to the fusions, but that's obviously not always the case with microphones. so i guess what i'm asking is- would the audix fusions running through digimax pre's sound demo, or pro quality? btw, i have an EV re20 i could theoretically use on kick if it's worth doing so, the rest of my mics aren't much to speak of- sp c1, and 2x SP b3's. thanks.
