audix d3?

Hey there, after extensive searching i can only find small pieces of info on the d1 and d6. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of an audix d3 as i notice theyre going cheap at www.dv247.com
Im pretty much looking for something with a tight pattern thats a bit brighter than an sm57 for my snare and guitar cab and an m201 is out of my price range.
would this be good?
 
well...

I like them on snares quite a bit, particularly 5"x13" snares. I usually use the i5 or sm57 though. Good luck, I hope this helps. :)
