Audix D Series dinamics

I was wondering what opinions do you guys have from the audix D series dinamics, the D-4 Kick mic in particular??
I'm looking for drum kit mics, besides sm57

I tried a D4 on a huge 26" DW bassdrum. Not bad but, I end up using my e608. The D4 seems to have a more flat response. Well, what I want to say is that I still prefer the pre-eq curve of the e602.

The D4 is just average on kick. However, the new D6 blows the D4 away.
