Hi,

Just got a new xenyx 1204fx mixer and i had hook up to my pc and starts to do some recording. There are few problems i'm facing.

1. i tried to record 2 tracks both vocal and music simutaneously but it only manage to record the vocal and not the music in audition. Also, the volume of the vocal recorded with my shure SM57 is so low although i amplify it from my mixer. I manage to hear both vocal+music from my mixer thru headphone. Anyone can provide me some advice please???

2. i do not know how to use the effect in the mixer. It looks easy just turning and pushing it but it seems like i don't hear any different when i put on any effect. Do i need to toggle something to activate the effects???

Make sure you download and install the latest, correct drivers for the unit for your PC/operating system.

I've tried turning every orange knob. I just heard the volume level changing but no effect at all. By the way, am i able to hear the effect through my headphone?

What latest driver should i install? i remember when i plug in my mixer to the PC, i do not have to do anything. There are no installation process.

That might be your problem. Windows should automatically be searching for drivers to install the mixer as a USB device. It happens pretty much every time you plug anything interactive into a USB port. You plug in your IPhone, it asks if you want to open the file folders and automatically opens ITunes, etc.

Go to the Behringer site and search for drivers for your model of mixer that correspond to your operating system.

Windows might be seeing your mixer as a single input device because it doesn't have the proper drivers.

i've now downloaded the driver and installed. It is still the same. I also done the setting in audition, Audio Hardware Setting changed to ASIO4ALL V2. I/O also changed to USB AUDIO CODEC. I've also tried plug in different channel in the mixer. Doesn't seems to work. Weird that only my mic sound can record but not my keayboard.
I'm new to 1204fx mixer, i hope someone can help me with this as well. I'm not sure whether the problem i'm facing comes from my mixer or pc or software.
