I can't get a signal to record on Audition. I loaded all the drivers and followed the manual, still not recording a sound. Can anyone help an idiot?

Click Options>Device Properties>Wave In/Wave Out

Is that set up right?

Also, what kinda soundcard you got? Have you got that set up right?

Yeah, I checked the options and made sure the POD was chosen as the wave in. I read and reread the manual following the instructions to a T. I suspect that the connection isn’t the problem because when I went to the Guitar Port website I could download new tones to the Pod.

I suspect the culprit is the drivers. So tonight I’m going to go home and uninstall all the Guitar Port stuff and reinstall it to see what happens. Maybe going back to square one will set everything up straight. At least I hope so. It’s a pain in the butt trying to get through the tech side of things when I would rather be playing.

I look at the soundcard as well. Everything worked well with the Digitech so I don't think the soundcard is to blame.

I'm not sure. Does that mean I can't record through the USB port. That wouldn't make sence because I've recorded tracks with the Digitech.

16bit

i had the same problem tonight with my guitar port, the solution that i found was i had to change (in track properties) the recording settings to 16bit instead of 32bit, that fixed it right up, the port only goes 24bit max, but cool edit only shows 16 or 32, which i think sucks cause you have to use 16 instead of 24 but whatever. It was doing the same as what you described. this was after a recent format so im guessing cool edit just defaulted the port to 32bit after i reinstalled it.

Hmm, yeah that sucks, Scotty. When 32-bit floating point *isn't* an advantage...

nah but thanks

nah im no genuis, as dobro pointed out, i do however know that 16bit is cd quality and when editing wave files its better to do it in the highest bit resolution you can before mixing down to 16 but im no sound engineer either so ;)
