That isnt out yet that I know of....I know from experience that they make great cards and pretty damn good preamps...so it depends where they price it whether Id suggest getting it....as far as how good of a product it will be, Id feel safe saying a big THUMBS UP....

Ok, it looks like www.audiomidi.com is taking preorders for $259.....Id go with the Omni Studio for $379 but if you have to go the USB route or you can only spring for $259, this is a good option.....

so I take it you don't like USB audio? This was actually the main thing I was concerned about. Are you hesitant to recommend it because its new, or because you fear it will be an evolutionary dead-end?

Im not a fan of usb recording, but Im sure it will do fine....im just more comfortable with PCI based cards, purely a personal preference.....but also for $120 the Omni has more inputs, auxillary channels for effects, 2 headphone outs, just all around better routing capabilities...if you wont use all that, the Duo sounds fine....

FYI, I spoke to a dealer today who got an email about the audiosport quattro. It has been shipped in the MAC version only, and the PC version, which is different hardware, won't be shipping for a few months. They hadn't tried it out yet, so I can't say much for feedback.

The Quatro and the Duo are 2 different animals....the Duo is set to arrive at Musicians Friend on 08-23-01, for whatever that is worth.....
