Audiophile Locking Up

YO,

If my CPU sits at idle for awhile the sound card locks up.

This is new, hasn't done this before.

WIN 98 FYI.

Disable power managment in the bios as well as the control panel. This is the main problem wihth win 98. Set it so only the monitor turns off after an hour or so.

This should take care of it. You don't need sleep just turn the computer off when it's idle, or hell, let it run.
