can audiophile 2496 handle 2 dif audio softwares at the same time? I can never have mine to support SoundForge with Sonar at the same time, it always says "device is being used by another program".....

But, I can use SoundForge and ACID at the same time, but that's about it. I can't even have any audio program running while using REALPLAER!!

Am I missing some adjustment with audiophile here?

oh, if you could, how do you setup audiophile to record S/PDIF and analog ins at the same time? I still haven't figured this out..

Thanks

what OS are you using? MME or WDM for Sonar? Not sure about recording analog and digital simultaneously. What is your CPU?

OS: win98 se
CPU: 650mb processor, 320ram

not sure what MME and WDM stand for

hey, Leeking:

nice to hear from you again. Thank for the info, my driver is:

driver version: 4.1.2238
panel version:1.02.05

The Audiophile does not have multiclient drivers. It would be up to your software to let you do this. Most new Cakewalk software (Sonar, HS2002) allow the card to be shared with other programs.

A,
In Sonor on the page that lets you set up your audio card parameters, driver settings etc. there is a box that needs to be checked that says something like "share driver / card with other applications. Sorry I can't remeber exactly, it is early in the AM and its been a while since I looked at that screen.I have your same basic set up using Sonor and Sound Forge 5 (and Samplitude 2496) with no problem.(my card is a Gadget labs 824)
