had a few short questins about the audiophile 2496..
i read a few posts and also visited the giga site, but it is still unclear to me whether this card has multiclient drivers. im pretty new at this but the card sounds like it would fit my bill. i mainly plan to use the card in cakewalk 9 to add soft synth tracks which would require a) low latency and b) i think, the multiclient feature that allows multiple applications to use the same card. i read that M-Audio was going to release them, but havent read any recent posts to that effect. can anyone give me some input on this and also the latency times they have experienced with this card and soft synths in the natve -instruments class. this is my first post so please be kind. hehe
my system:
pentium 3 600B 133mhz
asus p3v133 mb
256 meg ram 133 mhz
prim hd 20 gig udma 7200
sec hd 20 gig udma 7200
win 98 pretty much stripped and tweaked
acer 8432 cdr
any help would surely be appreciated.. i have read all the posts about the card and hear nothing but good but these two items i hope you all can clear up for me... i'm droolin for this card as the sblive is gettin real old TIA.......if i left some info out.. fire away!
