Well, I have done many recordings with this card, but recently I started looking around in my recording program ( N-Track www.ntrack.com) for more settings.

My recording program settings were set on:

Recording Audio Devices: MME: Wave Mapper

I guess this is standard. I changed it to MME: Audiophile M-Audio AP 1/2

This seems to work, but I was wondering if another setting would be better. I have many options it seems.

MME: M-Audio Delta ASIO, MME: M-Audio Delta AP 1/2, MME: M-Audio Delta AP Mon. Mixer, MME: M-Audio Delta AP Multi, MME: M-Audio Delta AP S/PDIF.

I also have these with "WDM" before them. What is this stuff? I looked around online but didn't find much.

You can check out some of my recordings at www.purevolume.com/JustinSmith

Thanks a lot!

ASIO (Audio Streaming Input Output) is a proprietary 'industry standard' for music applications, developed by Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH. It provides multi-channel audio I/O (input and output) at very low latencies and high sample rates.
MME (Windows Multimedia Extension) is the standard built-in audio driver architecture of the Windows Operating System.
Windows Driver Model (WDM)

i normally use WDM. ASIO also works good too...the names are your basic audio driver names

as for quality...i cant tell a difference i get the same latency with WDM as i do with ASIO so all in all they come out being equal to me. some programs prefer one over the other so having a card that can do them all is good. and since i guess ntrack can do them all too, theres no reason to worry...just dont mix and match them...i did that once and it drove my system crazy
