Hi once again,

Does "Audio-Technica" make good quality condenser mics ?

Dan

Yes, the whole 40-- range (basically 4033, 4047 and 4050) have received lots of positive input on this board (especially the 4033 which is the cheapest of the range)and in reviews on http://www.sound-on-sound.com.

I own a 4047 and have used the 4033 often. Both are very good mics. I prefer 4047 for vocals, to me it seems a little warmer, but as stated, there seem to be alot of very satisfied 4033 users.

yuo

my 4033 is a damned nice mic. That and a shure sm57 can cover a lot of bases.

Could beat it for $200 more, but it serves me well

My 2 favorite mics are the AT4047 and the shure KSM32/SL - they're both $499 and they sound basically the same to me. IMO the 4047 is by far the best mic Audio Technica makes under $1000 (I never tried the 4060).

Hope this helps,
Eric
