I've got one, if that means anything. It was my first mic and I for that reason I don't think I could ever get rid of it but its nothing spectacular. I only have one so of course I haven't used it in a stereo pair. I think they would make OK overheads and probably be decent for whatever you might want to do with them in pairs (dare I ask). But for the price I would look into a pair of Marshall MXL-603S. I also have one of these and I'd say it's, well, better than the AT for sure. The Marshall has a much hotter output for one thing but also just plain sounds better for most everything I've done. If you look around you can find the Marshalls for around $60 each which is little more than the ATs and well worth it in my opinion.
