Audio Technica AT4040

wow! i don't know how i missed that one. maybe its because i live in canada and only get the results available to me.
anyway you should post some clips of it when you get it. some acoustic/vocal stuff would be great.
 
I just got mine today. I only got to try it for a few minutes but I love it. Compared to my SP B1 and MXL603S it's free of harsh sounding frequencies.
 
I reach for it first on almost everything but female voice. It seems to always have some inherent goodness to it. I have the 4040, an SP B1, a Shure KSM27, MXL 603 (pr) and some ADK SC1's.

I'm really happy with my 4040. I debated whether to buy a SP C1 or the 4040. Thanks for this thread.
 
just paid the 3 bills for mine, except unlike ebay, I can take advantage of the free ATH-M30 headphones offer when I buy, and MusiciansFriend sent a free CAD pop filter> SCORE

I was just wondering if anyone here owns, or knows someone who owns an Audio Technica AT3035. I just bought my online a couple of weeks ago and am very pleased with how it sounds. How does it compare to the 4040? I thought about getting a 4040, but decided to opt for the cheaper 3035.

Amen. Speaking of great value for your buck, I just scored an ADK Hamburg. I can't say enough good things about it, especially for vocals.
 
Well my $150. Ebay 4040 came in--- as I expected it's like new and ooooooo
I beeez so pleased with the results I'm getting, everything I expected and a little more.
