I just can't make my mind up

Being quite a few AT mics of a similar price range and "quality", I was looking for some opinions from the BBS. I'm needing a pair of them for overhead mics, and then to use for recording acoustic and vocals. I was wondering which of them YOU like the most?

Based on the samples I've heard, for an all-arounder I'd find a second hand AT4050. That should tide you over for a while. It may not be the best mic in the world, but it seems to sound good on anything. It's got 3 patterns, too. I think with the lesser expensive ATs you'll end up more limited as to what you can use them on.

Thanks for the input. My guess is that the 4050 would be great, but perhaps a little too expensive for a pair Incidently, if anyone can supply me with some clips of the microphones (I've already heard the listening sessions ones) I'd be much obliged.

I like the 4047 and the 4060 for vocals.

The 4033 for accoustic guitars, and the 4050 or the 4040 for vocal and all-purpose chores.

The 4040 would be good for your purposes.

I have a nice 4040 that I'm happy with, but would like to find a 4050 "just in case". The switchable pattern is appealing.

Well.... a little more about me:

I've got quite a young sounding voice, but it's a bass. I'm (this is others opinions, not boasting ) supposedly quite a good singer, but in terms of tone, a little nasaly. It has been said that AT mics wouldnt suit a nasal tone. I'm open to other brands to if you want Thanks

Forgot to mention. I decided it would be better to use a couple of SD mics than LDC, so I'm just using this mic for acoustic/electric/vocal* purpouses.
