I have just purchased one of these mics and they are amazing.
I recently brought a Seinhiesser E 945 which is also a dynamic. At first I was excited but after using it a few weeks I found it does tend too over colour your voice a bit too much.
This Audio Technica one is more natural sounding and has a warm feel and a nice crisp sound which cuts through the mix. I actually prefer this mic to my other Audio Terchnica AE5400 which is a condenser mic which cost double the price.
I am quite suprised at the big price difference as it cost me £189.00 where as the AE5400 cost me £360.00, ( ok the AE5400 does have a bass roll off and -10db pad swicth) and is a condensr.
I also love the detail in the 6100. it has a condenser sound feel . I would definaly recomend this mic.
