Audio Sounds like I'm in a tunnel

So I'm trying to record audio over game play but it sounds like I'm in a tunnel and I've tried using two different programs. My voice sounds fine when I'm recording just the voice, nothing else is making sound its just me talking. So say if I boot up a game and have the same recording going it then suddenly sounds like I'm in tunnel, this will still occur even if my speakers are off and my headset volume is down. I've tested it with Youtube videos as well, should I be recording my voice then turn a Youtube video on it goes from okay to echo, I've tried two different mics and messing with my mic settings and everything. I'm at my wits end now and just about to give up cause it's driving me insane. Hopping to find help. Thank you.

I added an attachment of the audio of me during nothing on and as soon as I turn on a video. OR attempted to not sure if it attached...

Didn't attach -- Anyway, you *probably* have some sort of setting somewhere that indicates your output is going back to your input. Find that, turn it off, huzzah!
