audio out in Ableton Live Lite

Hello there. I am a new member here. I have a real newbie question. I am running Ableton Live Lite in Windows 10, but the sound only comes through my computer speakers, not through headphones. For other programs that use audio, the headphones work fine. Any thoughts on what this issue might be? The audio sounds lousy through my laptop speakers. Thanks!

have you tried changing settings in preferences?
Setting up an Audio Interface – Ableton

If not that, it could be the drivers on your machine interfering with Ableton or vice versa.
