I have this problem with CEP where the audio wont stay put. I'll put the beat on one track and use the next track under to record vocals. I hit record and start recording and everything is good and lined up until I hit the stop button. Then, once I try to playback the beat with the vocals over it, they aren't lined up correct any more. I can't figure out what it is, and I can't figure out how to reset defaults. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Peace,
ScottyG

not sure on this one...I have heard of this happening though....Im thinking it could be a sample rate problem...though I dont think you can have 2 different sample rates in one session....cant remember...

Something to check would be if "Correct for Drift in Recordings" is selected. In Audition 1.5 this is listed under Options -> Settings -> Multitrack. There are two boxes you can select for correcting drift and start sync. However, I don't think those are selected by default - but if they are, that could be the problem.

If neither of those work, select both tracks (click on one to highlight, then hold down Ctrl while clicking on the other to highlight it), then right click and tick "Lock tracks" (or something similar).
